Some of the responses on this thread are the reason why I am glad that the Constitution bans cruel and unusual punishment and that there are proscribed punishments built into every criminal law.
If the people of Ohio allow the death penalty (which they do) and these folks are found guilty (which they probably will be given the information out there), then that's the appropriate punishment. I'll draw a distinction between what's appropriate by law and what they actually deserve, and it's an important line.
