those three demos are their first records, i just said omaha sessions first because all the songs that weren't on music off those three demos were on omaha sessions, and then there were a few more i guess, like independence day...but that became homebrew and what have you, omaha sessions kicks ass though, it's all mixed really nice and sounds great, those original tapes go for so much money now, i can't even begin to afford them, you got all three? amazing, i got mp3s that aren't even the best of quality, but they kick ass, i love the different versions of welcome, plain, nix hex, ftbs, and a bunch more
i've come across a lot of people that fell off with 311 after from chaos, i dunno what's up with that exactly, 311 isn't the same as they were when they started and i'm really glad for that, like the title of their record says, they're evolving - and it kicks ass.
especially if you're not as into 311 as you used to be, check out 311 day 2006 when it comes out on dvd, you would not be disappointed. nick came out on stage with a bass and they did "this too shall pass," nick and p-nut both playing the bass solos, utterly amazing, like a 10 song "transistor block" during the second set i believe, it was just amazing, 5 hours of 311
