What you could do is have two sites, one for the more personal art work and another strictly for commercial work/ portfolio things.
I agree that the font could be a bit bolder or at least stand out more. It doesn't have to be 'blocky' though. This is an excellent place to download free fonts:

Think like a client when putting it together. You know, one that doesn't know crap about art, etc.
