I've been wanting to ask a similar question but have never felt it deserved its own thread, so I hope you don't mind if I post mine here.
My right foot has always (for years unchanged) had dry and cracked skin on the bottom of it (from my toes to my heel). My left food though, is perfect. If there were foot models my left foot could make it. My right foot is the opposite though. In addition to the worse skin my right's nails are sort of messed up. I jokingly refer to it as my Achilles heel.
It's not so bad that I've ever felt the need to consult a doctor but it's always puzzled me. I don't think it could be a fungus, because its like that no where else on my body, and I think it would have spread to my other foot by now. Nor are there any other symptoms I'm not mentioning. There's no itchyness or redness. I've had athelet's foot, its certainly not that. So is it just a freak occurence? Can anyone think of any wierd natural causes? It's been this way since I was maybe 14 or so.
