I used to use newsgroups a heap.
These days though, the usenet is full of shit. By this I mean spam, as well as kids asking stupid questions without making some attempt to solve their problem first.
So yeah - if I go on a comp. forum I'd expect to find somebody whose' keyboard is broken. If I go to a science forum, it'll be some kid wanting help with an assignment.
