I agree to a point, but my concern comes from a relationship of 6 months where they have only seen each other 6 times (once a month), or a long distance relationship. Things take time and only if I am active in a persons life do I feel ready to assist them. This also comes with understanding the person and choosing the right things to say or learn what the best course of action is for them. Another concern is his feelings, if he locks up agian he may have a similar problem one he is not ready to admit or deal with. I think these all should be thought of.
