Sage and I have been doing these lately also... We have a fairly big stack of duplicates that we'd be up for trading, so feel free to send a PM if you'd be interested.
Overall I'd say they're fun and really make us think. We've just recently picked up a subscription to Games magazine after I replayed some really really old computer puzzle games from my youth (The Fool's Errand and 3 in Three, both by Cliff Johnson. These are available for free from his website or from The Underdogs and are really great.) Between this, the sequel Cliff is putting out to Fool's Errand and the Volvo competition to find the buried car it seems like meta-puzzling kind of stuff is taking off. I'm excited to see what comes of it as I find it to be highly enjoyable.
