That area is where a lot of nuclear weapons were tested. Actually, I'm going to work a little northeast of that mountain in a few months. I might stop by and take the tour.
I would say that this is a better place to store it than where ever they currently store the stuff. And, once we figure out a safe and consistant way to get into space, we can get all of this waste off the planet and send it into the Sun.
