Frankly I would be pissed, if I wanted the job I would smile, nod and go back wagging my proverbial tail, if it wasn't a biggie for me I would let them know that I can't make the interview and attemptto reschedule them to a convenient time.
I suppose the level of annoyance and the level of displayed annoyance have to be totally separate, stuff does come up, heck my managers are never at their desks as they have meetings 7:30-4pm every day... scheduling to meet them is hard!
