I apologise if this turns into a long story...

So I've been looking for a new/better job for a while now. The criteria were simple: It had to be in my hometown with an established IT company with either the same or a better salary package. Needless to say, the search has been all but easy.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I just happened to find myself on the website of a recruitment agency that was advertising just the position I was looking for. Obviously, I applied immediately and received an email back the very next day requesting an interview (with the recruitment people) for a few days later.

Interview with the recruitment people went well - they forwarded my CV to my prospective employer and told me they'd contact me. 2 days later, I received word that I was to appear for an interview at the offices of said employer-to-be the following Monday afternoon.

So I travel the 75kms 'home' and skip work Monday in order to make the afternoon interview. All goes well and they want me back for a 2nd interview with their boss. Fine. Scheduled for Friday of that week at 17:00.

Friday comes, I leave work early (again travelling the 75kms) and get to the interview at 16:45 wanting to make a good impression on the big boss. Go up to the conference room at 17:00 and am told he's in a meeting. Wait with the lady from HR and make polite small-talk. Wait some more. 17:40 she decides to step out into the hall to catch his attention and succeeds. He comes out and I overhear him telling her that his meeting could go on till 19:00 and that she should reschedule. Back he goes. No apology. Reschelued for the next Friday at 16:00.

Somewhere in the middle of Wednesday last week I get a call from HR lady above - Big Boss is going to be busy and can I please come in on Tuesday morning at 08:00. No apology, and she sounds irritated. Fine. I agree.

Now back to the original question. Should I be pissed off? I mean I feel like I've had my chain yanked for the last coupla weeks by these people. Am I being unreasonable, or should they have been a bit more courteous?
