Injection Advice Needed
I've been on the depo provera (birth control) shots for at least a year now, maybe two.. After my injection the area of my butt that the needle goes into is tender for about ten minutes (as with most injections I gather) and then it's fine. However, I had my latest injection on Thursday and the area of my butt where I had it is still quite tender - I find it uncomfortable to lean on or lie on that side of my bum.
I am not sure if she's bruised me or something (I can't see any visible bruising) or if this sometimes happens with depo? Or.. my other thought was that with my new job I've been doing a lot of walking up and down stairs which is firming up my butt muscles a bit - would this cause the extra pain with the injection?
I just wondered if anyone had any added opinions before I call the nurse and make a fool of myself to find out this is completely fine.
