Thank you guys for the feedback. I contemplated calling the police, but there were a few issues that came up. Number one being that I got myself home. Which was a terrible idea, but my head seemed so clear on the inside... I just wanted to be home. It was a drive to be in my own place. Second, we were there for several hours. Granted we ate and spent an hour trying to clear our heads enough to make it out the front door. They would report us for drunk driving and cite how long we were there. We didn't realize that the restaurant had closed and no one asked us to leave. The manager was at a table with the rest of the employees and saw the whole thing. I spent 45 minutes and two bottles of water in the parking lot. It wouldn't be a big deal now, but the sherriff's department in the area is notorious for flagging people. And I just don't want to be repeatedly pulled over. I don't drive intoxicated. I'm a social worker. My friend and I are still feeling ill and our boyfriends are ready to kick some serious behind, but at this point, I'm just warning friends. It's embarrassing that we were caught unaware and that I didn't have enough impulse control to just crash on her couch. I drove the 20 miles back to mine. Which again... scares the crap out of me. It will be a LONG time before I go anywhere near mexican food, tequila or out with just the girls any more. Thanks again for the thoughts. Just be careful.
