Google-blocking
Yes, I just made up that word. Kind of like c*ck-blocking, but on-line.
I was e-mailing with this girl, and she searched the net for my e-mail user name (she doesn't know my lat name), and just because someone else has the same username at a penis enlargement forum, she got all freaked out. Now, it's not ASU2003, but it isn't that rare that no one else would not have come up with it. I had to go through 20 user names on Yahoo before I found one that was free without numbers in it, a few years ago. She already knew my username at another site that I had 232 posts on that contained a lot of information about who I am (I'm sure she read them, since I read all 72 of hers).
But, how careful are you with checking what is out there for anybody to find? What happens if they stuble upon this site or some other one on your computer and find out your username.
-Would they read all of your posts?
-Would they be instantly turned off or replused?
-Would you have to tell your partner eventually about what message boards and forums you post on?
If you search for my name, there are a few DoD documents that come up and some computer programs I posted in a java forum in 2003. There is one picture of me from 2004 that isn't bad or good that gets returned as well.
Are you the type of person that would search for any information on someone you are dating?
