I was just recently reading about another possible track car (road courses) that is designed to fit the GM V6 since ..as they said "plentiful and cheap as dirt at junk yards".
...Getrag... I can relate to that too since I'm shifting a Getrag 6sp, manual not auto. This tranny seems nearly indestructible.
