Those eaton blowers usually last for a hell of a long time, I highly doubt its wore out. Get a propane torch and check for leaks around the intake, heck you should even be able to feel for leaks, since the engine is pretty wide open and easy access. I'll check my buddys engine and look to see what could possibly be the problem.
