I have to agree.Looking back at myself.Guys that are virgins tend to be stand-offish on dates, as opposed to guys who have had sex are generally more physical(trying to kiss or hug or generally touch a girl..like on a first date for example).A perfect example would be my girlfriend vs a female friend of mine.
The girlfriend knew immediately I was a virgin, when we first met.Around my girlfriend I was nervous, goofy, and basically what Redjake described.
Around the female friend I had no interest in, that I'm not afraid to touch and generally cut up with(and who I can say anything around), she thought I was a slut, and got laid all the time.
Basically confidence.
