It's a good education for you... one that a lot of people don't always learn.. it's ok to flirt... but ya gotta remember that the person you are flirting with also has feelings and may have a slightly different agenda than you do..
You were honest with her - so sounds like she'd have a decent friend in you- -I hope that she does decide to be your friend...
