It was meant to be tongue in cheek ... though I actually said "geniuses on our instruments."
I am in no doubt that we are proficient on our chosen instruments; however, we keep our solos/leadlines short because we have not achieved the level of mastery required to make them completely interesting for a longer amount of time.
I only wish more musicians would follow suit.
