The TV is an Insignia brand, which the label is apparently owned by Best Buy (where I bought it, obviously) and neither BB nor Insignia will stand behind it.
I wrote an extensive email to BB corporate about the snide way the BB manager talked to me when he told me I should have bought the service plan and acted like I was an idiot for not. I'm not really willing to pay more than 1/2 the price of the TV for their service plan.
I doubt I'll ever hear back. Looks like I'm going TV shopping.
And never shopping at BB again methinks.
