Also, cleaning out dust from things like your heatsink, fans, motherboard, power supply, graphics card, or just anywhere in the damn case will help alot. I have worked on computers belonging to friends and relatives and pulled out handfulls of dust from them. The excess dust makes it more difficult for things such as heatsinks or even just the silicon on your mobo to dissipate heat into the air flowing through and the parts get hotter before it begins to radiate off.
Adding an additional case fan or two might also help, but isn't guaranteed. Airflow alone will not always solve a problem like this. Consider the underclocking if you are willing to take a dip in performance and nothing else helps. If you want to keep the performance and all the other tips fail, consider water cooling.
