Cummins are good but I worked in a dodge dealer and those things always seemed to have head problems, If you get one of those tuning kits you could get some mad power out of a diesel and Chevy can handle the power. I never owned a diesel but my bro's work truck has a chevy deisel and it has just under 700,000 on it and still running without a rebuild
