My family has two cottages - one my parents bought for a steal at Wasaga Beach, and the other my grandfather built about 35 years ago near Angus (Base Borden). The one at Wasaga is very civilized, its in a subdivision, has running water, flush toilets, showers, cable tv. etc. My parents and my sisters like that one and go often. I go there maybe once a year and more often use it as a base for when I go to Wasaga with the family.
The other cottage is in the woods on the Notawasaga river with 5 acres of woods around us. There are neighbors who now live up there (was only cottages up untill about 10 years ago and now a bunch have retired up there) but they are far enough away that I can't hear or see them. There's a sauna outside as well which is awesome.
In past years I was up there almost every weekend from April - October, but this summer i've only been up a half dozen times. I think we'll spend new years there with some freinds, and then I do a boys weekend in February where we play lots of poker.
