Let me get this straight, you sign for 12 million and know that hurts the team's bankroll, but you don't give a damn because you want as much as you can get...... then the team has to kiss ass and try to appease you????
WTF are YOU?
You get paid to play a game, try working a real job and barely make it like 75% of the US.
You want to be on a winner take less money and allow the team extra room to get quality players...... otherwise shut the fuck up and do your job.
Miguel meet A-Rod......
Fucking sports needs to clamp down and stop the bullshit salaries and babying these guys.
They don't like the contracts they sign and speak out like this..... then the contract should be voided and the player free to find employment elsewhere.
Goes for Manny, also.
I used to say players deserved the money for missing family events and the hard personal life that having to train, and play causes. Now, salaries are out of hand and players get these attitudes that the teams owe them more than just the millions upon millions they get paid.

Orioles seek to soothe disgruntled Tejada
By DAVID GINSBURG, AP Sports Writer

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Miguel Tejada and the Baltimore Orioles agree on this much: Both want to win.
There is still some question, however, whether Tejada will be a part of the team's quest to become a contender.
Frustrated over the team's failure to add quality talent during the offseason, the Orioles' shortstop said last week he would like to be traded. Baltimore has since received several trade offers, but executive vice president Mike Flanagan said Sunday the team wants to hold onto Tejada, who last year hit .305 with 26 homers and 98 RBIs for the fourth-place Orioles.
Flanagan spent much of the weekend talking with Tejada and his representatives, Diego Bentz and Fernando Cuza.
"We had long conversations with Tejada and his agents," Flanagan said. "What came out of it was the sentiment that Miguel wants to play for a winner. Our goal is the same. We want to be a winner."
Flanagan would not comment on rumors that the Boston Red Sox have offered left fielder Manny Ramirez for Tejada.
"I can't say if we're involved in trade discussions involving Tejada or any other player," Flanagan said.
Tejada was signed to a six-year, $72 million contract before the 2004 season. He quickly assumed the role of team leader, and although he did not appear to play with his usual enthusiasm toward the end of last season, he never spoke of his frustration until last week during a phone conversation with a reporter for The Associated Press.
"I've been with the Orioles for two years and things haven't gone in the direction that we were expecting, so I think the best thing will be a change of scenery," he said. "I've done many things with this team and I haven't seen results, and the other teams are getting stronger while the Orioles have not made any signings to strengthen the club."

Think that has anything to do with the fact the O'S maybe bogged down financially because of your fucking greedy ass????????
It's also BS for the fans to say well the owners pay it..... I live in NEAR Cleveland, I know what fans do. If you don't spend big bucks for a player the fans start believing you to be a cheap owner who has no desire to win (and we have one in Dolan)..... yet if you spend big bucks you tie up your salary and can't field a winning team ...... it's a catch 22, and the system needs changed.
Unfortunately, baseball, the NFL, NBA, and so on have such freaking monopolies and have become imbedded into us so much that there isn't a need to change the system because the fans will come and watch anyway..... or the team will move for a nice payoff and a few seasons worth of spike in revenue until that city gets tired of the bullshit.
