Something may be vibrating. Hit the side of the set :-)
If it stops making noise for awhile that's the problem.
Not good for your waranty (sp?) but looking/listening/touching with a long stick of wood or plastic with the back off should help you isolate the noisy device. You could then try to stop it from vibrating.
Better to send it to a shop if you have no knowledge of the problems & personal health issues of TV's with their backs off.
