Yeah, I like yoga. I do a very basic yoga routine once or twice a week, often with a few friends. While my regime isn't very strict -- I'm never going to progress to harder exercises or become incredibly limber -- it does keep me stretched. For 20 years I suffered back problems which bothered me daily and gave me a week in bed with spasms once or twice a year. When I began yoga, those problems largely receded.
Now -- with a few other changes in my life -- they're gone.
Yoga is like a tool that can be adjusted in several different ways to do several different things. Yoga as I practice it is mainly about stretching, relaxation, and mental centering. For matters of physical fitness, I practice weight training, bicycling, and walking. Some forms of yoga, like bikram, are very physically challenging and _will_ get you sore the day after, at least at first. But that's not for me.
