I've been getting my hair cut at a little shop off of King and Yonge (on Victoria st) since I had a lot of hair (1988 - ish). These guys have been running the shop since '63 when it used to be in the King Eddy. Well, a lot of people go there from the area, and I've sat next to such people as Black, Rogers, the Eaton boys, and last weekend, some supposedly Iranian 'mafia' guys who tipped $50 for a $14 cut....
It's funny to hear them chat with us. It seems that the barber shop is the great equalizer, as the discussion was down to earth, almost mundane in all cases - except for the Eaton kids who seemed intent on displaying their pedigree.
I will be following the trial, if only because I am curious about the two sides of Black that I have seen.
