That's so funny! That's exactly what I was going to ask.
I've found that monitors don't have much of a lifespan. They go fuzzy, start to shimmy around, and become basically unuseable in a matter of only a few years.
Could be a TV repair shop can fix it for you. Might be a simple, say $20 fix. Or the tube might be completely hosed.
