Screen "Twitching"
I dunno how else to describe it....
But basically the screen on my CRT monitor (Sony Trinitron/Multiscan 400PS) starts to twitch back and forth. It's most noticable at the corners of the screen and also comes up when I'm playing games (esp. if it's at different resolutions). The monitor's been fine and in good shape (albeit pretty old), but I just started noticing it today. It doesn't look like an interference problem (nothing has changed around my setup) and I've tried both switching the cables and turning it off/on and the screen's still twitching. Is there anything I can do, or will I have to tough it out til the Dell 2005FPW goes back on sale? |

I've found that monitors don't have much of a lifespan. They go fuzzy, start to shimmy around, and become basically unuseable in a matter of only a few years. Could be a TV repair shop can fix it for you. Might be a simple, say $20 fix. Or the tube might be completely hosed. |

Mine sometimes acts a little whacky when mrs. joe's using her hairdryer. It'd be nice to have a dedicated circuit, but pretty much out of the question.
Whatever you do though, make sure your rig is plugged into a GOOD surge protector! |
