I voted no. I won't be punishing the Conservatives, rather I'll be voting for them, most likely (unless there's a green party member in my riding, in which case I'll vote for them.) Yes, you heard it right. And why? Because I'm sick of the Liberals. I know, maybe that's lame, but it's probably the main reason a lot of people will not vote for them. Then again I know a lot of people will vote for them because they are scared shitless of a Conservative lead Canada. I don't think you're crazy for thinking that.
In answer to your question again, an election during the holidays in a lot of ways is perfect, because with the holidays there's lots of other distractions going on that will allow me, if all goes well, to almost totally forget about the fact that there's an election going on.
