Actually, according to the definition (shares a grandparent), that would make her a random stranger, totally unrelated by blood.
For instance, suppose you're a 17 male (just so you'd still be living at home), and your single dad remarries a widow, with a 17 year old smoking hot daughter. She's now your step-sister, but totally unrelated by blood. Is it wrong to hook up with her? There's no blood relation to stop you, just a marital convention that says she's "related."
