I would respect his wishes and understand why he wouldn't want me to have a guy as my best friend... firstly, because he is already my best friend.. also... in my experience... guys and girls don't often make good friends without one trying to fuck teh other... all the guys i've been friends with had other motives (ding ding ding, they wanted to get into my pants) and i had to ditch them... So, yes, i find that having another Guy as my best friend, would be a problem considering my previous experiences. Which is why i have girls as good friends.

Not saying that isn't the case for other people, that they can have opposite gender friends, be married/committed and be totally fine with it and it's no problem at all... i was merely giving my own perspective from what My life has been like...
