Actually, I believe that you're 3rd cousins. In most states that is perfectly legal. I live in Wisconsin and my uncle married his 3rd cousin.
Heck in Georgia you can marry your first cousin. My boss has family in Georgia and she gets really uncomfortable at family reunions when all of her first cousins hit on her.
