? Why should a large amount of K's mean anything at all? Strikeouts alone are useless. K/BB is a much better assessment and Howard's K/BB (102/33)was much better than Franceour's (58/11). Howards counting stats were better than Franceour's were if you project them to Howards number of ABs.
The only thing Franceour had on Howard was 12 points in batting average. Howard's OPS was 40 points higher. Howard also fielded his position better than Franceour did.
All in all the writers did a great job in both leagues.
