I either try to play a demo, borrow the game from a friend and try out the first couple levels, or just go online and find a "copy." If the game sucks, then I delete the game and go on with life. If the game is great, I go to the store and buy it, backup any saved games, uninstall the "copy" and install the freshly bought game. Unless it is a Sunday evening I usually don't play a game I don't have the CD for more than an hour or so.
