I'm a lot more discerning these days about my choice of games, but I used to come across random crap at work and at home. Here's a gem from my past.
GoDai, Elemental Force. I was fortunate in that I didn't actually buy this game. But I was unfortunate in that I tested this game for 3 months while I was working at 3DO. This game is SO bad in almost every regard. It's buggy, the graphics are substandard, the frame rate crawls (mind you, this is a late-generation PS2 game, so no excuse), the sounds are recycled (the protagonist and the antagonists share the same audio clips), the ending is crap, the gameplay is repetitive, the level design for certain sequences is uninspired, the camera controls suck, the entire second half of the game is practically missing, the multiplayer is pathetic, and the game would better served as a coaster, if it didn't create a black hole at its location.
Whew.
On the plus side, some levels were done well, the art before it was 'Frankensteined' by Trip Hawkins was respectable, and the music that runs over the credits is decent.
