I guess it really depends on what your definition of what being entertained is. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. There have not been too many games that I did not find at least something mildly entertaining. Even the worst of the games I've played can be enjoyed if only for the 'my god this is the most awful waste of programing I've ever witnessed, let's see what they screw up next' factor. Some games have been a real chore to play due to bad controls and or cameras but then it can be fun to just come up with new and inventive ways to get yourself killed.

So basically I always try to find some redeeming quality to any game I play. What I find 'fun' may not always be what the developers intended but I can usually entertain myself long enough to justify the purchase.
