In Saskatchewan, when the subject was first debated in the Legislature back in the day (50's? 60's?) the measure was defeated because (I am not making this up, we learned it in history class)

The dairy farmers said that the time change would stress out their cows. Who can imagine milking their cows an hour late EVERY DAY IN THE WINTER?

Gotta love that logic.

In Saskatchewan, we do not participate in DST. It really fucks with your head when the times change for all of the shows on TV. I think it would be easier to switch.
