Well just finished talking to a friend that used to repair PS2's and showed him the pics, Said everything in the pics look fine. From reading how the problem started he was asking the basic type issues, Did you double check that the back power switch was on, check the outlet you plugged it into, and even if the power strip you mentioned was on. Besides getting his hands on it and the previous things he mentioned, only other thing he could think of is something going screwey with the power cord itself.
