Remastered Twin Peaks Season 2 DVD Set in 2006
Director David Lynch News Genre : DVD / TV News Drama Movie News

Even after being off the air for well over a decade Twin Peaks has lost none of its quirky and queasy power to get under your skin and haunt your dreams. This show is addictively wicked. It is a series you would need to watch from the very start to follow the complicated twists and turns in the plot.

TVShowsonDVD reports that the David Lynch site dugpa.com received the following information on new transfers for Twin Peaks Season 2.

Paramount has decided to go with video transfers for Twin Peaks: Season 2 DVD set. It appears that the information I had received from Paramount Germany was old information, as they planned to release the information as their own shortly after their their release of Season 1 on DVD. Now that Paramount is doing a worldwide release, all territories under the Paramount branch will be using the same transfers for the Season 2 box set. Great news indeed!!! Now we'll have to wait to see if the new transfer is up to the same quality as the Season 1 set.

Those fans who are dying for the Season 2 DVD set to be released, will have to wait till the Spring of 2006. The reason for the delay is to work with David Lynch to oversee these transfer of new masters. At least it will be done right, which is by far the most important thing.

Twin Peaks is about the investigation into the murder of local girl Laura Palmer. As the story unfolds it becomes apparent that no one is as they appear in this town (and that includes eccentric FBI investigator, Agent Dale Cooper).

To say the characters are quirky is putting it mildly, it may be more accurate to say they are verging on the insane which certainly makes it impossible to figure out who the murderer is ... most of the population of Twin Peaks have secrets they don't want exposed.

This series became cult viewing in the 90's and it is easy to see why. David Lynch has produced a masterpiece that dares to be different and makes no apology for it. Brilliant, bizarre, funny, moving, it will make you laugh and cry.
