In cricket I prefer the matches to be close even if Australia loses (maybe next year I won't mind as much though
). Like dlishguy I also enjoy it when the underdog wins occasionly. I still classify myself as a fan of the Australian cricket team though. In sports like soccer however I support my home country (Germany) and due to being part Greek (my mother is Greek), I also support Greece.
