digby's reply is correct. It's so refreshing
to see someone post about copyrights
that actually knows something. (It's especially
tedious to read the oft-repeated bleat "I
wasn't doing it for profit, so it must be ok."
The law doesn't care whether or not
you're a successful infringer.)
As to the original poster: try buying the
software you use, and don't allow others
to copy it. Those of us who feed our families
with income derived from intellectual
property are going to have a hard time feeling
sorry for how inconvenienced you feel.
