As for the dead pixels, usually the standard is less then 8 and you’re stuck with it. suggestion, call the company and just say it was DOA, and do an advanced replacement, also known as cross shipping, they send you a new product and then you send the first back to them in the same package, they usually need a credit card number incase you don’t actually send the old one back. They get the old one back, ‘fix it up’ and sell it as refurbished to some one else.
