Well, you learned the hard way. It's not helpful now, but it will be in the future. Any time I'm going to spend over $100.00 on a single item, I set a day 2 days in the future. I have to spend those 48 hours shopping around and reading at least a few reviews. I've yet to have a problem ever since.
Don't feel bad...I learned the same way you did. Only mine involved about 10 times as much money and a car....
