I completely agree that the truly "crazy" rarely wear it as a badge of honor.
My ex tries to convince me (and himself) that the reason he doesn't fit in or conform to societal/religious/corporate norms is because he's crazy. He's just too damn intelligent and can't figure out why the rest of us don't conform to his ideas. Which actually make so much sense, I wonder if I'm the slightly nutty one, myself.
He's a Cult-leader-in-training, I think.
