The arstechnica article you provided uses the report that this thread covered as its source. Like I said.. its overblown. Some have theorized that suicide girls is taking down content wich might not comply with the 2257 laws, and are using this to play the victims and generate some revenue. I think it is very plausible (even probable), especially now that I'm beginning to see how the industry operates from the inside. People are eating it up, given the widespread hysteria over Bush and his mythological theocracy. Brilliant.
But I may be wrong, who knows.
Either way it sucks they're taking down some pictures.
