You don't have to worry about a virus. Many times memory, as meembo pointed out, will remain tied up although the program has closed. You may see multiple instances of the process because you have opened and closed the program several times and Windows still thinks resources are needed. Now, if you are one of those people who considers Windows a virus, then yes, you do have a problem. But this is just the memory managment "feature" of Windows.
