I think the point is that he is the president of the U.S.A. and he should know how to hold it by now. When I was in grade 5 and ask the teacher if I could go to the washroom, she'd reply: "you're responsible enough now to go when you need to without asking permission."

Besides, he shouldn't have to ask Condy if it's possible. Shouldn't he know whether it's appropriate or not by himself?

All things said...perhaps this belongs in Tilted Humour or Nonsense?
