Being interested in the life of others is usually considered a female trait, yes, but men gossip too. I get the best gossip from male friends. And look in the manly manly sportpages, they're full of gossip. OMG Fredrik Ljungberg shaves his armpits!!!1!
I work in a grocery store that sells all sorts of tabloids, and maybe 15% are bought by guys. I don't think all of them are picking it up for a girlfriend, since I see a lot of them leafing through them looking
very interested. My widowed grandfather still buys the same gossipy magazines my late grandmother read, even thogh she's been gone for over a decade and he's a manly man who's been working in the sawmill and hunting all his life. So:
1. Not weirder than a woman doing the same thing.
