Well, the comments I had in terms of the story were in my original post... this article was just confirming it was a genuine report and not "tabloid trash"

In terms of it slamming america... I think it isnt unreasonable that people would be angry for their compatriots to be treated this way in a foriegn country and a friendly country. Clearly the alleged conduct of one group does not signify the state of a nation - but stories like this do make people angry, I dont think its that hard to see why.

What I fail to see is the part where he talks about trying to help the girls who were denied it by these "authorities".

On top of that, he whines about how the police "disappeared" at night, and he heard shots ringing out. And yeah, I said whines- a lot of people were a lot worse off than he was. He had a roof. He had a home to go back to. He had his life, his wife's, and his kid's. And how safe is it for the police to be out at night? If they all get picked off at night, then it will be complete lawlessness 24 hours a day. They have to be smart about protecting themselves as well.

I'm also curious why this article was even posted without any commentary to go along with it. "Isn't this disgraceful" in 2 sentences doesn't cut it. This feels like an eager attempt to mindlessly slam the states because of a random news story that paints it in a bad light.

What I'm saying is- is there a discussion here?
