Hold on. Before you try this, consider the properties of acetone. Remember back to your industrial technology classes when they had you use it to melt plastic, and then consider that, especially in some GM cars, there are plastic parts that come into contact with the fuel.
If I recall from other experiments I did with acetone while bored in said industrial technology class, it's not very kind to rubber either.
